Strictly necessary
These are stored in your browser, not sent to anyone, and cannot be turned off without breaking the site. They are not cookies in the tracking sense. They are local storage entries that never leave your device except where noted.
| Name | What it holds | How long |
|---|---|---|
vld.cart.id | The identifier for your bag, so it survives a refresh or a closed tab. Sent to Shopify when you open the bag or check out. | Until you clear it |
vld.lane.* | Which part of the shop you were last looking at, so going back takes you where you were. | Until you clear it |
vld.email | Whether you dismissed or joined the newsletter, so you are not asked again for thirty days. | 30 days |
vld.intro | Whether the opening animation on the home page has already played in this browser session, so it plays once per visit. Nothing else. | Until you close the tab |
vld.consent | The choice you made on the cookie banner, with the date you made it, so we can show we asked and you are not asked twice. | Until you change it |
Analytics
Not running today. We would like to add anonymous counts of which pieces get looked at, so we stock better. If we do, it will only load for people who said yes on the banner, and it is off until then. Nothing is set behind your back and switched on later.
Advertising and cross-site tracking
We do not do this. There is no advertising pixel, no remarketing tag and no cross-site identifier on this site. The category exists on the banner so that the answer is on record, not because something is waiting behind it.
Checkout is a different place
When you check out you are handed to Shopify, who process the payment. Shopify sets its own cookies there, under its own notice, and we never see your card details. Their use of cookies at checkout is governed by Shopify, not by the choice you make here.
Changing your mind
Use above or the Cookie preferences link in the footer of any page. Refusing is one click and takes effect immediately.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we treat it as a refusal of everything non-essential and do not ask again. You can also clear everything by clearing site data in your browser.
The rest
How we handle personal information generally is in the Privacy policy. If anything here is unclear, write to contact@viplabdiamonds.com and a person will answer.
